Our client, a Microsoft Partner, requires a Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant with expertise in the Project Operations module to join on an outside IR35 contract basis, in a remote capacity.
Join a trusted Microsoft Partner delivering outcomes for project based organisations. You will work across an existing D365 implementation to drive continuous improvement in project processes using either Project Operations or Project Management and Accounting. This is a hands on functional role covering discovery, fit gap, design, configuration, testing, training and cutover support. You will collaborate closely with a Solution Architect, technical teams and business stakeholders to stabilise, enhance and extend project capabilities tied into core finance.
Responsibilities
Project delivery
* Run discovery, fit gap and process design workshops across the projects lifecycle, from quotation and contracts through delivery and billing.
* Produce clear deliverables including process maps, BRDs, FDDs, configuration workbooks, test scripts and training materials.
* Plan and execute configuration for Project Operations or PMA, including project structures, pricing, cost rates, budgets, resourcing, time and expense, procurement for projects and billing.
* Define and support data migration activities for project master and transactional data, working with technical teams.
* Lead functional testing and UAT, manage defects and acceptance, and support cutover and hypercare.
Finance integration
* Align projects with finance processes across GL, AR, AP, TAX, O2C and P2P.
* Configure project billing scenarios, T and M, fixed price and milestone, revenue recognition and WIP.
* Support multi company and intercompany project scenarios, multi currency and statutory needs.
* Governance and quality
* Maintain traceable requirements, assumptions and decisions.
* Provide regular status updates, risks and issues, and contribute to release planning.
* Stakeholder engagement
* Work with project managers, project accountants, finance leads and resource managers to land process change.
* Partner with developers and technical architects to shape extensions and integrations where required.
* Report directly to the Solution Architect, aligning design and delivery to the programme plan.
