What will I be doing?
1. Managing and investigating vehicle / personal incidents and any road traffic accidents.
2. Investigating and resolving near miss / hazard reports.
3. Conducting weekly vehicle inspections / gate checks.
4. Ensuring the downloading of VU and Drivers’ tacho cards and reviewing infringement reports with Drivers.
5. Ensuring vehicles are presented for service on time and inspections (including LOLER) are completed as per company standards.
6. Providing training and delivering toolbox talks.
7. Completing yearly driving and pre-employment driving assessments once trained.
8. Debriefing drivers post-shift daily.
9. Occasional cover for driver sickness / absence as required (LGV licence is essential).
10. Weekend working may be required to cover for current full-time employee during holidays, either as overtime or days off in lieu.
What are the requirements?
* Essential: LGV (CAT C) Licence and Driver CPC Card.
* Preferred: Previous supervisory experience.
* Valid First Aid Certificate (training available).
* IOSH qualification (training available).
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including basic PC skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
