We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Lewes name, a category B/C Prison located in Sussex.
HMP Lewes is a male prison that has a capacity for 742 inmates and are recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant to support with duties such as Labelling, stock taking, checking, collections etc.

4 days a week / no weekends
Salary
This position is Part Time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £29,723 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas
Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

Qualifications Required
NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Excellent communication skills
Good IT skills and IT literacy
Ability to work within a busy environment
Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
