- To drive the success of the club’s competitive pathways at all levels
- To develop capable, cohesive coaches invested in their gymnasts and their own improvement
- To provide a safe, professional & well-managed gym environment for all our members
- To support the operational workload involved in managing the club
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum UKCC L3 Women’s Artistic Coaching qualification – ideally L4 or working towards this
- Up-to-date Wellbeing & Protection, PVG Scheme Record and British Gymnastics membership (updates will be carried out for successful candidate)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Clear personal coaching ethos that aligns with our club values and ambitions
- Successful track record of developing gymnasts in the Women’s Artistic competitive pathway
- Confidence in a leadership role, able to direct and develop others to achieve high standards
- Detailed programme planning and organisational skills to meet short and long-term goals
- Ability to work independently, make decisions and take responsibility for delivering on them
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Women’s Artistic Judging qualification or experience
- Pre-School, Disabilities or other specialist qualifications / CPD
- Previous experience attending Performance Pathway Programmes and National Finals
- Familiarity with Class4Kids & JustGo membership systems
MAIN TASKS:
- Coach the club’s competitive groups and implement training programmes to provide a high
quality and progress-focused experience for each gymnast
- Administer the club’s competitive pathways, including: IAPs, planning and entries for events, distributing timetable information; bookings for education & CPD, and any other relevant tasks - Be the central point of communication for parents, responding promptly to relevant enquiries
- Open up, close & manage the gym and ensure the coaching team fulfil their duties each day
- Help plan the delivery of an annual calendar of activities & events for all members of the club
- Support the growth & development of the club’s staff and volunteers through mentoring, training & opportunities to gain experience where appropriate
- Assist with cleaning & maintaining the gym environment via a regular weekly schedule
- Ensure that all club policies are followed and that any accidents, injuries or similar incidents are recorded & reported appropriately
- Act in a responsible & appropriate manner at all times in accordance with the club’s Codes of Conduct, Safeguarding Policy (and related policies) and best ethics & practice
- Maintain & update your required qualifications in line with Scottish & British Gymnastics policy
