Overview
My client is looking for an experienced CNC Setter to take ownership of a busy CNC Cell within a growing manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth production flow, driving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output across all machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC machines within your assigned Cell to achieve production targets.
* Take ownership of Cell performance, ensuring utilisation and efficiency goals are met.
* Complete traveller documentation and maintain accurate production records.
* Coordinate machine maintenance and report any issues promptly.
* Work closely with Production Engineering to resolve drawing or process queries.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise machining processes.
* Conduct first-off inspections and quality checks on components.
* Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organised work environment.
* Provide effective handovers between shifts.
* Mentor apprentices or new team members within the Machine Shop.
* Collaborate with the Production Team Leader and Manager on production schedules and priorities.
* Minimise scrap and downtime through proactive problem-solving.
About You
Proven background in CNC setting, on lathes.
