Woodland Group are recruiting for a Air Import Customer Service Coordinator for our site at Hayes, nr Heathrow. The Airfreight Import Customer Service Coordinator will report to the Import Supervisor and provide excellent customer service and operational support for all import airfreight shipments. The role requires close liaison with customers, overseas agents, and internal teams to ensure shipments are processed smoothly, on time, and in line with compliance and service standards.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9-5:30pm

About the job:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of airfreight import shipments from origin to delivery.
2. Handle daily customer enquiries, providing updates on shipment status and resolving any issues promptly.
3. Liaise with customers and overseas partners to ensure timely movement of freight.
4. Record, monitor, and resolve service failures or customer complaints in a professional and proactive manner.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
6. Support the invoicing process by checking files for accuracy and profitability.
7. A good understanding of pricing with the ability to complete quotations.
About you:
8. Previous experience in airfreight imports (essential).
9. Basic knowledge of Crosstrades procedures
10. Knowledge of customs processes and procedures (essential).
11. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
12. High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
13. Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
14. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
15. Knowledge of freight forwarding systems (e.g., ASM, FCL) is an advantage.
16. Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Qualifications
17. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in airfreight imports (preferred).
18. Customs entry knowledge/experience (essential).
19. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
20. Additional logistics or freight forwarding qualifications desirable.
