Repair Improvement Manager – The AA

Location: Oldbury

Role Summary: We’re seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Repair Improvement Manager to spearhead repair improvement initiatives for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles across The AA’s roadside operations. This is a high‑impact role at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer service—perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and leading teams to success.


Your Mission

Maximise roadside repair rates by identifying and implementing strategic technical solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with JLR’s dedicated roadside technicians, and internal operational teams to ensure repair initiatives are successfully rolled out, monitored, and continuously improved.


Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the JLR Technical Helpdesk to ensure consistent delivery
* Analyse non‑repair trends and work with JLR TLE to unlock missed roadside repair opportunities
* Identify and implement diagnostic and repair solutions for JLR roadside incidents
* Ensure contractual KPIs related to repair rates are consistently met
* Forecast the impact of emerging vehicle technologies on roadside repairability
* Deliver regular technical analysis and commentary to JLR TLE, CPM, and AA leadership
* Develop and distribute technical information to enhance repair capabilities across dedicated technicians and patrol teams
* Act as Line Manager for the JLR THD team


Qualifications


Experience & Expertise

* Deep knowledge of roadside services and vehicle manufacturer processes
* Proven technical experience in the automotive industry
* Strong understanding of roadside repair methodology
* Business‑to‑business account management exposureDemonstrated leadership and team management experience
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
* Technical qualifications or hands‑on experience in a technical field preferred
* Experience in dedicated services environments
