We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join a Global Manufacturing firm going through considerable growth. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for a growing manufacturing site specialising in high-precision components, actuation devices, and complex CNC-machined assemblies. You will lead the Engineering function to deliver process optimisation, continuous improvement, and innovation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical authority, team development, and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Engineering team, promoting high performance, engagement, and capability growth. Drive continuous improvement and innovation across processes, tooling, equipment, and systems. Define engineering standards, specifications, and methods to meet cost, quality, and performance objectives. Lead complex problem-solving initiatives, technical troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA, 8D, FMEA). Plan, prioritise, and align engineering activities with organisational goals and cross-functional operations. Manage departmental and project budgets, ensuring delivery within financial targets. Oversee major projects from concept to delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring milestones are met. Communicate strategy effectively to teams and stakeholders, promoting collaboration and innovation. Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, embedding robust engineering controls. Skills & Experience Strong engineering foundation with experience in process design, optimisation, and advanced manufacturing. Expertise in project management, risk assessment, and delivery control. Proficient in engineering documentation, drawings, and structured problem-solving methodologies. Experience in capability growth, supplier compliance, and equipment validation. Ability to lead teams through change, solve complex problems, and drive data-led continuous improvement. Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills. Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. Minimum 8 years leadership experience in large-scale manufacturing, aerospace, or complex engineering operations.
