Job Description48 hours/Week - Rotational weekendsYou will provide a professional, responsive and observant security presence. The Security Officer duties on this site are varied and include elements of reception duties within the Gate House, as well as patrolling dual site inspections.You will be part of a team that are responsible for protecting the access to the site ensuring all security protocols are adhered to as well as protecting the premises from any unlawful activity such as theft or criminal damage.Provide the face of the company to all staff and visitors ensuring they adhere to the required security protocolsOffering an excellent Customer Service experiencePatrolling and securing the different sites.Monitoring and analysing CCTV camera footage.Guarding valuables in a secure area.Protecting the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issuesResponding to alarms and emergencies.Communicating any irregularities with management.Keeping an incident report record.Following procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, traffic control and accident investigationsChecking visitors in and out of the area.Escorting visitors around the premises.Ensuring compliance with government regulationsChampion all aspects of Health & Safety to highlight the importance to others, including but not limited to:Operating in accordance with required principles and practiceWork AuthorityRisk AssessmentsSafety Walk roundsToolbox talksSafety discussion and initiatives involving your teamFollow all the control of work processes to ensure safety and compliance.COSHHManual HandlingRisk Assessments (brief and record)Ensure the workplace is at all times safe and meets appropriate health, safety and environment standards.Understand the tasks required including risk and control measures.QualificationsDoor Supervision SIA licenceAbility to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authoritiesDemonstrates competency in line with the requirements aboveAdequate industry knowledgeThe ability to work proactively and use intuitionA thorough and keen attention to detailExcellent concentration skillsThe ability to remain alert and aware of surroundingsAn ability to remain patient and calm under pressureUnderstanding of the technology used within the companyExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work well with othersAdditional InformationCompetitive base salaryCompany pension298 Hours holidayLife AssuranceL&D opportunitiesIf you experience difficulties or are unable to apply for a role on-line please contact us at people.skills@harland-wolff.com and one of the team will be in contact to help you.
