Corporate Financial Controller 37.5 hours p/w (Mon-Fri) Hybrid: 2 days in Toddington central support office An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department of Moto Hospitality Ltd. Moto is the largest operator of Motorway Service Areas in the UK offering a number of leading high street brands such as BP Forecourts, M&S Simply Foods, WH Smith, Costa Coffee, Burger King, KFC, Pret A Manger and West Cornwall Pasty. We’re looking for an experienced Corporate Financial Controller to play a key role in delivering high‑quality financial reporting, control and insight across the Group. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead a small, capable team and take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, tax, treasury oversight, lender reporting and long‑term financial planning. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, including the Finance Director and CFO, providing robust analysis, strong financial governance and clear insight to support informed decision‑making. Potential on target bonus of 20% Car allowance 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Life assurance Up to 60% discount for you, your partner as well as your family and friends Enhanced benefits, including maternity, paternity, pension, sick pay and life assurance Fabulous training and development opportunities including funding qualifications You will be responsible for: Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow Owning the Group’s monthly cash forecasting, providing insight and challenge to senior stakeholders Overseeing month‑end close and Group reporting, ensuring accuracy, quality and timeliness Leading the statutory accounts process for multiple UK entities, including audit coordination Taking ownership of VAT compliance and supporting wider tax matters with external advisors Acting as a key finance contact for lenders, including covenant reporting and financial modelling Strengthening balance sheet governance, controls and accounting policies Leading technical accounting assessments and supporting complex financial projects Managing, coaching and developing a small high‑performing finance team Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and reporting What we're looking for: Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) Strong technical accounting background with solid knowledge of FRS 102 / UK GAAP Experience in a complex, multi‑entity or multi‑site environment Proven experience leading statutory accounts and working with external auditors Working knowledge of VAT and broader UK tax principles Confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills Highly analytical, detail‑focused and commercially minded Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines Why join us?
