Teaching Personnel is currently seeking Mental Health Support Workers to transition into Learning Support Assistant (LSA) roles in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools across Leigh.
This is an ideal opportunity if you have experience supporting individuals with emotional or behavioural needs and are now looking for a full-time role in education where your skills are highly valued.

Role Overview:
* Supporting pupils aged 7–16 with SEMH needs and mental health challenges
* Providing 1:1 and small group emotional and academic support
* Promoting positive behaviour and helping students develop coping strategies
* Assisting teachers in delivering lessons tailored to individual needs
* Working closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external professionals

Ideal Background:
* Experience in mental health support, CAMHS, residential care, social work, or crisis intervention
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches and emotional regulation
* Excellent communication and empathy skills
* Resilient, calm, and able to manage challenging behaviours confidently
* Team Teach or de-escalation training (advantageous — training can be provided)
