We deliver public- and private-sector projects, including refurbishments, new builds, commercial and residential schemes. The Role
We're looking for an experienced Construction Planner to lead programme development and control across tender and live projects. You'll work closely with pre-construction, commercial and site teams to produce realistic, logic-linked programmes and keep them on track.
Responsibilities:
* Develop tender and contract programmes (WBS, logic links, critical path, calendars, constraints)
* Create short-term lookaheads and recovery/mitigation plans; run "what-if" scenarios.
* Set and maintain baselines, measure progress and report against milestones
* Resource and (where required) cost-load programmes; produce S-curves and dashboards
* Chair/attend progress meetings and coordinate with project managers, QSs and site teams
* Manage change control and time-risk; support EOT/forensic delay analysis with clear evidence
* Engage the supply chain to validate durations, sequence and access/lead-time assumptions
* Contribute to bids with build methodology, prelims input and programme narratives
About You
* Proven experience as a Planner in a main contractor environment
* Strong command of Asta Powerproject

MS Project is also welcome
* Solid understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works interfaces and logistics
* Confident communicator who can challenge assumptions and secure buy-in across teams
* Comfortable with NEC/JCT time-related provisions and change management
* Data-driven, detail-focused and deadline-reliable
* Relevant qualification in construction/engineering; APM/CIOB membership (or working towards) is a plus
* Desirable: exposure to earned value reporting
