Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire Salary: £15.50 per hour plus £70 per sleep in. Equating to £37,348 (8 sleeps per month) per annum Hours: Full-Time | Permanent Do you have hands-on experience in an Ofsted-regulated children’s home and a passion for supporting young people to thrive? We are looking for a committed and proactive Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of our children’s residential home. Please note: experience of working in an Ofsted-regulated home is essential for this role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior residential practitioner or current Deputy looking to develop their leadership skills and contribute to a high-quality, child-focused service. Key Responsibilities: * Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of managing the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations. * Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting best practice and a consistent, nurturing environment. * Assist with care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance processes. * Take on management duties in the absence of the Registered Manager. * Build strong working relationships with external professionals, families and the wider care team. Essential Requirements: * Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential setting is essential. * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards. * Sound knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations and relevant legislation. * Leadership qualities with a supportive and resilient approach. * A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
