My client is a prestigious and sought-after event destination known for hosting elegant weddings and high-profile private events. With beautifully curated spaces and a reputation for excellence, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences and seamless events, supported by there professional in-house catering operations team.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Weddings & Private Events Manager to lead the sales, planning and initial delivery of all private functions at the venue handing over to operations on the day. This candidate must love weddings, know the London market and competition and know what sites to be listed on and events to network at to develop the business.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role, responsible for ensuring that every event from intimate celebrations to large-scale weddings is flawlessly executed from enquiry through to delivery.
Act as the primary point of contact for all wedding and private event clients from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
Make sure the venue is listed on the correct sites and correct networking events are attended/ correct agents are engaged.
Plan, coordinate, and execute events in line with client specifications, ensuring outstanding service throughout.
Manage all event logistics, including timelines, supplier coordination, floorplans, and schedules.
Conduct site visits, host tastings, planning meetings, and final run-throughs with clients.
Oversee event delivery on the day, working alongside operations and service teams.
Liaise closely with the Head Chef and catering team to ensure menus are tailored to client needs and meet brand standards.
Monitor food service quality and ensure excellent communication between kitchen and front-of-house.
Lead on menu tastings, dietary planning, and presentation standards.
Maximise bookings by converting leads into confirmed events through excellent salesmanship and customer care.
Build and maintain relationships with preferred suppliers, local vendors, and industry professionals.
Help to drive marketing initiatives, including open days, showcases, and social media content
Requirements: Proven experience managing weddings and private events in a venue or hospitality environment with great industry contacts, agents and wedding planners
Strong understanding of in-house catering operations and menu planning.
Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple events concurrently.
A creative and solutions-focused approach.
High level of attention to detail and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak event periods.
