We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a proactive and well-organised individual to join our Therapies Department, supporting the education and training of both staff and students. This role will be based across the Luton & Dunstable and Bedford Hospital sites, contributing to the development of learning within our clinical teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Therapies Practice Development Team, the Trusts' Recruitment Team, Higher Education Providers, and learners within the department to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of educational initiatives. Applicants should possess previous administrative experience, with strong communication and organisational skills, alongside a background in working within clinical environments. A genuine interest in supporting the professional growth of others is essential.
This is a pioneering role that offers the opportunity to shape and enhance high-quality, practice-based learning within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the organisation and allocation of all education placements across Therapies.
2. Collaborate with practice/clinical educators and partner organisations to increase education placement provision and provide administrative support.
3. Maintain a database of education placement capacity, ensuring deviations are escalated appropriately.
4. Match placement requests from higher education providers to offers from teams and maintain records for accurate reporting and invoicing.
5. Liaise with learners, education providers, and recruitment to ensure pre-placement paperwork is complete and available.
6. Monitor compliance of Practice Educators for educator training.
7. Support the development, delivery, auditing, and evaluation of education sessions, including venue coordination and minute taking.
8. Assist with preceptorship programmes and the Care Certificate process for new Support Workers.
9. Manage and prioritise workload effectively, planning proactively to meet deadlines.
10. Work independently, making day-to-day decisions within your remit and seeking guidance when necessary.
