Your Role:
We are currently looking for a motivated Technical Sales Engineer (m/f/x), who can identify customer needs, generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities to achieve defined targets. To succeed in this role, you should have a solid understanding of the sales cycle and AZO’s product portfolio. Confidence in initiating contact with potential clients through cold calls is a definite advantage.
The value you bring:
* A completed technical degree or comparable training in mechanical, process, industrial, electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics
* Initial experience in consultative, value-based selling of technical solutions
* Structured, customer-centric approach with strong presentation skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities
* A confident, agile, and resilient personality with a collaborative mindset
* Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with SAP and CRM systems is advantageous
* Basic knowledge of contract law and project-based sales is desirable
* UK and Ireland wide travel is required
* Fluent in English; other languages or German are a plus
Your mission:
* Actively engage in consultative selling, focusing on understanding the customer’s business case, operational challenges and ROI objectives
* Drive project sales in alignment with our structured consultative selling cycle & methodology, from discovery to value-based proposal and closing
* Develop and deepen relationships with key and potential customers in target industries
* Conduct regular on-site visits and act as a trusted advisor rather than just a vendor
* Coordinate technical and commercial project clarifications, ensuring alignment with customer expectations
* Create and present compelling presentations, business cases, solution proposals and financial value arguments
* Lead negotiations and follow through on project execution with consistency
* Scout trends and competitive activity to provide strategic input to the business
* Represent AZO at trade fairs, technology events, and customer workshops
