Position: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant Hours: 8:45 – 3:45 (half hour lunch) term time only – 32.5 hours per week Type: Temporary – Full time Location: Blackpool (FY1) Pay: £500 - £550/week Start Date: October 2025 Vida Education are working alongside a large SEN Secondary school in the Blackpool Area who support children who present with SEMH and challenging behaviours. We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant, who is confident with behaviour management strategies or has a background with working with children/young people with challenging behaviours in an educational setting. Position: Supporting classes as a behaviour support assistant and mentor of up to 8 children from year 7 – year 11. Support the teacher within the classroom with paperwork, reporting, and 1:1 work with individuals.Requirements: Prior experience working within a school setting is essential. Experience dealing with challenging behaviours, de-escalation techniques and aggressive behaviour. Team Teach qualification is desirable but not essential. level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.You would be joining a supportive and progressive team who encourages career progression.
