Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Teacher of English. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and motivating pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 to achieve their potential within our teaching programme, including the delivery of our Forensic Reading curriculum, and through participating in our exciting co‑curricular programme. This is an exceptionally important role for us here at Bruntcliffe Academy and the successful candidate will be joining us at a key point in our development. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of English teachers who deliver consistently strong results for pupils, and will be able to demonstrate their proven track record as a teacher.
* A trainee teacher who is successfully completing placement(s) teaching at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training).
* A colleague with a successful record of teaching with strong examination results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who have already gained Qualified Teacher Status).
* A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the effective use of the Pupil Premium.
* The ability to put vision into practice.
