As the Personal Lines Partnerships Portfolio Lead, you will play a significant role in achieving our ambitions by managing the performance and delivery of our MGA portfolio. You will lead a successful team to deliver our underwriting strategy, support external relationships, and ensure adequate risk selection and pricing sophistication across a diverse and delegated portfolio. You will provide technical and business leadership to the Underwriting function and wider business areas, while being part of an award-winning and growing UK Retail business.

What will you be doing?
The role of MGA Portfolio Technical consists of four main areas:
Leadership, Team Development & Direction Setting:
Manage a team of portfolio managers/analysts, communicating and embedding successful strategies, methodologies, and behaviors across underwriting and pricing teams. Advocate for personal and professional development, setting high standards.
Planning & Strategy Development:
Lead planning and forecasting for your portfolios to contribute positively to the UK Retail results, and develop technical strategies with stakeholders to maximize opportunities.
Pricing, Underwriting, and Portfolio Oversight:
Design, own, and implement oversight frameworks for underwriting, portfolio, and products to ensure excellent practices, understanding performance drivers, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Customer and Partner Interactions:
Deliver value to stakeholders, support strategy execution, and negotiate new and existing business relationships.

* Experience in portfolio management, pricing, and underwriting from personal or commercial lines.
* Skills in underwriting, pricing, and negotiation of delegated arrangements, with market, financial risk, regulatory awareness.
* Strong portfolio management experience.
