CNC Machinist / Programmer (5‑Axis) - Days, Nights & Weekends available.
- Location: Portsmouth
- Salary: Negotiable DOE + Shift Premiums
Shift Premiums:
* Nights: +30%
* Weekends: +70% (Saturday & Sunday)
* Weekend shift = 4 days (options include Fri-Mon or Thurs-Sun)
About the Role
We are looking for skilled CNC Machinists/Programmers with strong experience in 5‑Axis CNC milling to join a highly respected precision engineering environment. With multiple shift patterns available, this role offers flexibility and long‑term stability within a modern, well‑equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming and operating 5‑Axis CNC milling machines
- Working confidently with Heidenhain controls
- Producing high‑precision components to exacting standards
- Using CAM software to create and adjust programmes
- Ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficient workflow
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams where required
Requirements
- Strong experience in 5‑Axis CNC milling
- Confident working with Heidenhain control systems
- Ability to programme using CAM software
- Ability to work independently and contribute to continuous improvement
- Flexibility to work day, night, or weekend shifts
