Job Details
* Location: Can be based in Taunton or Yeovil
* Two opportunities available: a permanent position and a 12‑month maternity cover (FTC) – specify which post you are applying for
* Full time, 37 hours per week
* Starting salary £41,771 rising annually to £46,142 (new rate following the pay award)

What will I be doing?
* Utilise your extensive skills and experience to guide your team to support and empower the residents of Somerset to remain independent and live longer and safely in their communities.
* Tailor solutions around the needs of people and provide continuity of support and intervention throughout their safeguarding experience.
* Promote independence and inclusion in everything your team does.
* Work alongside Health and Social Care colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
* Liaise with key partners to facilitate improved provision of services, team training and recruitment.

Qualifications and Experience
* Registered social worker with Social Work England and an enhanced continuous development record.
* Experience working at an advanced social work level.
* Autonomous decision‑making in adult safeguarding situations.
* A strong sense of social justice and a strengths‑based practice perspective.
* Sound knowledge of legal literacy within social care.
* Access to a vehicle, essential for this role.
