Project Controls Lead – Asset Delivery PMO
We are looking for a Project Controls Lead to join the Asset Delivery PMO at Yorkshire Water, helping deliver a multi‑billion‑pound capital investment programme.
Location
Buttershaw, Bradford (hybrid: two office days per week, pending move to Leeds from Summer 2026).
Work Type
Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
Salary & Benefits
Salaries range from £45,205 – £56,506 depending on experience.
* Annual incentive related bonus up to £1,000 per performance year.

Where you fit in
As Project Controls Lead you will:
* Apply proportionate project control processes across the programme of work you are assigned.
* Facilitate regular sessions with the project team to discuss project health and challenge and support performance improvement.
* Ensure projects follow agreed project control processes, including financial forecasting, change control, RAID management and provide additional support where required.
* Coordinate programme status reports and measure progress of key metrics, ensuring accurate data.
* Work closely with the project planner to align financial forecasts and schedules.
* Collaborate with other Project Control Leads for consistency and best practice.
* Conduct assurance activities including Project Assurance Reviews.
* Facilitate the successful completion of Post Project Reviews.
* Identify potential threats to project/programme performance and work with teams to reduce risk.
* Develop best practice and innovation, measuring and monitoring implementation.
Skills & Qualifications
* Experience working in a PMO environment.
* Ability to analyse and articulate key messages from project performance data.
* Experience preparing reports and communicating key messages clearly.
* Experience implementing risk management and/or change management processes.
* Experience tracking and reporting project cost profiles and knowledge of financial reporting principles.
* Capability to challenge undesired behaviours appropriately.
* Strong IT skills and the ability to use multiple systems.
* Collaboration and relationship building across wider teams.
Additional Preferences
* Experience within an Alliance or using Project 13 methodologies.
* Experience in the water, utilities or construction industry.
* Experience with complex commercial and contractual challenges.
* Knowledge of project planning tools and principles.
Working Model
Hybrid setup with approx. 2 days in office per week; may increase for collaboration, training or deadlines.
