Are you a compassionate and motivated children's nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families? We are seeking an enthusiastic children's nurse to join our dynamic team, providing high quality, family centred care in community settings.
You will provide care, support, education and advice to children and their families supporting a generic caseload, working within community and hospital setting.
In addition, you will receive a High-Cost Area Supplement of 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,258 and a maximum payment of £2,121 per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job
The Community Children's Nurse will deliver specialist nursing interventions to children and young people with acute, chronic and complex health needs in a community setting including family homes, nurseries and schools
To work collaboratively with families, hospital teams and other community services to provide holistic, person centred care
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care
Provide nursing care including respiratory, oncology, rheumatology, palliative and end of life care

Qualifications / Training
Essential criteria
* Registered Children’s Nurse
* Professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
* Willingness to undertake further training as required
* ENB 998/Mentorship and Preceptorship Qualification
Desirable criteria
* Community Experience
* Community Nurse Practitioner Qualification
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
* Post qualification experience within Paediatric Nursing
* Proven management experience (Ward or Equivalent)
* Understanding of current policies and documents
* Experience supporting caseload of patients
* Having the ability to work under pressure to manage workload and meet deadlines.
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Experience in writing, implementing and evaluating treatment plans
* Sound understanding of Young people and the difficulties they can experience and is confident to work with them and their carers
* Used to dealing with sensitive issues
Desirable criteria
* Experience of delivering training, presenting and assessing professionals, families, students.
* Experience writing/reviewing and updating policy considering new evidence based practice.
* Experience working as an autonomous practitioner
* Experience of audit or research
* Experience of receiving clinical supervision

* Awareness clinical skills, updates and expectations within Paediatric Community Nursing
