Working Pattern
Full‑time, Permanent. Flexible working available including job share, part‑time and remote sessions considered.

Responsibilities
* Provide direct clinical care to children and adolescents in the inpatient unit (15 beds) and the Young Peoples Home Treatment Team (up to 25 patients in the community).
* Act as senior clinical lead in the multidisciplinary team, providing strategic leadership and supervising clinicians where appropriate.
* Work clinically with young people and their families, collaborating with community CAMHS colleagues in the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Havering.
* Lead emergency Mental Health Act assessments of CAMHS cases in A&E and the Section 136 suite as required.
* Participate in the Senior Psychiatrist on‑call rota covering out‑of‑hours and weekends for Children and Adolescents presenting with mental health problems (1:13 rota, 4 weeks a year).
* Supervise the resident and SAS doctor, ensuring effective clinical governance and training.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Inclusion in or eligibility for the Specialist Register, or within 6 months of obtaining CCT Approved Clinician status.
* Extensive knowledge of the biological, psychological and social determinants of mental health disorders and evidence‑based treatment interventions.
* Understanding of NHS strategic and clinical governance priorities and experience of applying system leadership in practice.
* Excellent clinical skills, communication skills (verbal and written) and familiarity with a wide range of theoretical and clinical approaches.
* Ability to provide clinical leadership to a multi‑disciplinary team and experience working with patients and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including working with interpreters and translators.
* Experience in clinical governance and a willingness to participate in research.
* Current UK professional registration.
