About the role and the team An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised individual with great administrative and people skills to join our Executive Services team as an Executive Assistant on a permanent full-time basis. The Executive Services team provides professional and confidential executive support to Council’s Executive Leadership Team, Mayor and Councillors. The position reports to the Executive Officer and provides support primarily to Council’s Directors in Council’s Executive Leadership T eam. The successful candidate will be proactive and adept at handling a variety of matters with tact, professionalism and confidentiality while establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders. No two days are the same in the Executive Services team, with a variety of tasks and topics from across Council handled every day. We work in strategic partners hip with members of Council’s executive team to ensure timely and effective outcomes for Council and the community. Our team is helpful and supportive of one another, flexible in our approach to the workload, and each team member brings a variety of individual strengths and knowledge to the group. While the Executive Services team is based at the Civic Centre in Penrith, we embrace Council’s Finding Balance philosophy, offering flexibility, including hybrid working arrangements. We work together to balance our individual needs and working preferences, the needs of our colleagues, our customers and Council. Essential criteria: Tertiary qualification in business administration or other relevant field Demonstrated experience providing effective and efficient executive support to Senior Executives Demonstrated ability to confidentially and professionally manage highly sensitive information Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team Excellent customer service skills and a demonstrated solutions focus Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and anticipate potential problems/issues Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems Desirable criteria: Experience working within a government agency or political environment Experience using a range of Council’s software applications including MS Office, recordkeeping and finance systems Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $90,063.00 - $104, 251.00 per annum, plus 11.5 % Superannuation.
