Join Wrights Food Group as a Night Shift Quality Auditor, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards from factory floor to finished goods. Working in a fast‑paced chilled food manufacturing environment, you'll be the guardian of quality‑monitoring processes, identifying improvements, and making sure everything we produce is safe, legal, and of exceptional standard.
As a Compliance Quality Auditor, you'll be at the heart of our Technical QA team, ensuring we're always audit‑ready, compliant, and delivering products that meet the highest food safety standards. You'll be our eyes and ears on the ground – identifying risks, championing quality, and helping us stay ahead of the game.
Responsibilities
* Conduct site‑wide audits including GMP, hygiene, fabrication, and glass/plastic checks.
* Lead on metal detector and CCP validations, calibrations, and allergen verifications.
* Carry out both scheduled and ad hoc traceability exercises – our go‑to for export traceability.
* Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and drive improvements.
* Diligently check, file, and manage QA documentation daily.
* Provide holiday and sickness cover across both of our UK sites – dual‑site knowledge is key.
Qualifications
* Laser‑sharp attention to detail.
* Proactive, curious, and solutions‑focused mindset.
* Confident communicator – able to work cross‑functionally with all departments.
* A team player who isn't afraid to challenge the status‑quo and escalates issues when needed.
* Minimum one year in a QC or QA role (ideally in a food factory environment).
* Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willing to work towards).
