Working Pattern: 12 months secondment | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role We have a great secondment opportunity to join the SSE Insurance team in an administrative capacity with potential for learning and assisting with regard to the insurance policies placed by SSE PLC. The team is involved in purchasing operational and construction insurance coverages for SSE businesses (with the exception of Renewables, Transmission and Distribution) as well as select Joint Ventures. The role will allow the successful candidate to gain an insight into a broad cross section of SSE operations in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland while presenting opportunities for relationship building at various levels. You will Support the process involved in renewing, placing and administering operational and construction insurance policies for allocated SSE Group and Joint Venture business areas. Run the invoicing, credit note and policy documentation management process across Group, Projects and Joint Ventures, ensuring premiums and fees are paid on time and that up-to-date policy records are filed across allocated business areas. Organise the insurance survey programme across the breadth of the allocated Group, Joint Venture and Projects insurance programmes (operational and construction), including wrap up meetings to review annual findings and maintain a tracker for monitoring progress in complying with insurers survey recommendations arising from insurer survey programme. Update insurance section of the SSE intranet site to reflect insurance developments. Develop an understanding of insurances placed so that, in a short period of time, you will be in a position to respond to SSE stakeholders of frequently asked insurance relates queries whilst building and maintaining working relationships with internal stakeholders, insurance brokers, insurers and other external service providers. You have Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively to ensure you meet time-bound commitments and deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively manage/plan own time. Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels in a professional and efficient manner. Advanced IT skills are essential. Excellent administrative skills with the ability to effectively manage processes around invoice processing and documentation filing and other ad-hoc tasks.
