Job AdvertMacildowie are working with this client based in Northampton within the commercial vehicle parts industry to recruit a Parts Sales Advisor.Salary: CompetitiveEmployment Type: PermanentWorking Arrangement: Office-basedHours: 44 hours per week (Monday to Friday) plus Saturday morning rotaThis is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing business operating within an essential supply sector. The organisation plays a key role in keeping fleets operational across the region, supplying high-quality truck and trailer parts with a strong focus on service, expertise and long-term customer relationships.The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced branch environment where teamwork, commercial awareness and customer service excellence are central to success.Key Responsibilities:Professionally handling inbound calls with a view to promoting and securing part salesLiaising with suppliers to source parts at competitive prices while maintaining stock levelsSupporting the Branch Manager to achieve sales, margin and contribution targetsMeeting and exceeding agreed KPIs and service level agreementsManaging stock cleanses and internal transfers efficientlyBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with local and national customersIdentifying opportunities to expand the customer base and grow salesHandling cash and payment systems in line with company proceduresPromoting over-the-counter and delivery sales targetsAssessing local market conditions and identifying new opportunitiesEnsuring compliance with health and safety proceduresSupporting the smooth day-to-day running of the branchWorking closely with van drivers to ensure timely deliveriesKey Skills & Experience:Proven knowledge of commercial truck and trailer partsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalConfident telephone mannerIT literate (Microsoft Office)Excellent customer service skillsWorking knowledge of health and safetyStructured and supportive team environmentOpportunity to grow within a stable and essential industryThis role would suit someone hands-on, commercially aware and motivated by delivering service excellence in a branch-based sales environment.
