Our client is looking for a BIM Manager to work on a long-term HVDC Interconnector project on a contract basis.
The Role
Leads all Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities on the interconnector project, ensuring the effective implementation of the project’s information management strategy in line with ISO 19650 and the Employer’s requirements. The BIM Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), supporting model coordination across disciplines, and ensuring compliance with information standards, naming conventions, and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols. The role interfaces with engineering teams, subcontractors, and the Employer’s information management function to ensure that structured, federated digital models support project delivery and handover.
Key Duties
Prepare, maintain, and implement the BIM Execution Plan in accordance with ISO 19650 and project specific information requirements.
Coordinate the delivery and federation of 3D models and structured data from multiple design and construction disciplines.
Ensure compliance with agreed naming conventions, model structures, metadata requirements, and CDE workflows.
Support the development and maintenance of the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).
Provide training, technical support, and quality assurance for BIM-related processes within the Cable Contractor’s team and across subcontractors. The Person
Extensive experience managing BIM delivery on major infrastructure projects.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Planning, and CDE platforms.
Familiarity with digital design tools (e.g. Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks) and model federation processes.
Understanding of data exchange formats, structured asset data, and information lifecycle requirements.
Excellent coordination, documentation, and quality control skills
