Detailed job description and main responsibilities Test, diagnose and repair faults on engineering electrical installations, plant and equipment, to deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others. Understand the working of electrical systems within NHS buildings. Instruct others on the above features and other aspects of his/her work. Perform a wide range of work of other crafts. Manufacture, assemble, erect and install new work. Carry out repairs, maintain and efficiently run plant and equipment. Use all relevant tools and equipment. To participate in/learn new procedures, new technology, in order to improve methods of works so increasing Department efficiency and utilisation. Perform PPM maintenance on these systems along with any other duties delegated to them by the Team Leaders that are within their capabilities. Person specification Training & Qualifications Essential criteria Technical knowledge of a range of systems including expertise in areas where specialist theoretical and practical experience has been gained. CITB or EITB Apprenticeship and City & Guilds Level 3 electrical qualification Experience Essential criteria Relevant experience demonstrating high flexibility and versatility over a wide range of engineering services.
