Assistant Headteacher (Operational Lead for Pastoral and Attendance)

Ysgol Treffynnon is situated on a modern learning campus, which it shares with a primary school, Ysgol Maes Y Felin. The design of the learning campus is beautiful, unique and innovative, possessing state-of-the-art multifunctional classrooms throughout.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly effective senior leader to provide operational leadership of attendance, behaviour and pastoral systems across the school.
This is a key leadership role focused on securing consistency, strengthening systems and ensuring that high expectations are implemented rigorously in daily practice.
The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a track record of improving outcomes for students, particularly in relation to behaviour, attendance or pastoral provision. They will demonstrate the ability to lead staff with clarity and authority, ensuring that expectations are understood and applied consistently.
This is not a post for someone seeking their first experience of leadership responsibility without evidence of impact. We are looking for a resilient and determined leader who can operate effectively in a demanding environment and secure improvement through disciplined, consistent practice.
The postholder will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole-school improvement while ensuring that agreed strategies are implemented with precision and pace.
