Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity
This requisition is for a mechanical engineer. The position is critical for sustaining and advancing Honeywell's multi-million dollar business in tank gauging, marine, flow meters, and flow computers. The main responsibility of this role is to drive various activities and coordinate/interface between different disciplines.
The primary skill set required is mechanical engineering, with a focus on testing. This includes designing and constructing test setups, as well as executing system tests and verifications.
As part of the technology R&D team, the mechanical engineer will contribute to new portfolio development, supporting NPI in concept and validation phases, and maintaining existing instruments (over 60,000 devices deployed worldwide). Maintenance involves activities like CCB, PARs, ECN, and resolving obsolescence issues.
Additionally, the engineer plays a vital role in VE/CE activities, focusing on material savings and cost reduction to make our instruments more attractive and competitive. This requires close collaboration with technology and sourcing teams.
Since the role involves working closely with other disciplines (R&D, Sourcing, QA, TechDoc, Sales, TAC, Services, AME, Approvals), the ideal location is Delft, The Netherlands. Experience shows that supporting activities outside The Netherlands limits contributions. The candidate should have domain and business knowledge, preferably someone who is familiar with the internal environment.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / Mechatronics
* 5+ years relevant industrial experience
* Experience in system testing
* Proficiency in various CAD systems
* Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus
* This position requires working in an office environment
