We’re looking for a new team member to lead our marketing team, with the right candidate having the opportunity to progress into a CMO or Chief Commercial role in the next 18 months. About the Role Our marketing team inspire thousands each year to take on life-changing challenges. They are responsible for delivering over £1m of ticket sales across our multi-award-winning portfolio of public events and we are looking for an inspirational leader to unlock the potential in these assets. We’ll be asking you to do this: Inspire tens of thousands of participants to sign up to our life-changing events• Drive continued growth and value from Threshold’s public event portfolio Maximise participation in our existing properties: The Threshold Trail Series, Endure24, EndureRelays and RideCymru Explore and integrate opportunities for acquisitions within the market and also potentially bring Infront properties to the UK Support our high-profile clients to deliver maximum value from their events Balance creativity with commercial rigour to craft and execute a world-class event marketing strategy Balance long-term brand-building investment with short-term ROI Build a high-performing team with clear objectives linked to overall business performance Lead the mass participation market with cutting-edge consumer insight and brand positioning Represent the marketing function within the Threshold business About You We're looking for someone comfortable with: Formulating strategies and concepts: thinking broadly, approaching work strategically, setting and developing a strategy. Deciding and initiating action: making decisions, taking responsibility, acting with confidence, acting on own initiative, taking action, and taking calculated risks. Leading and supervising: providing direction and coordinating action, supervising and monitoring behaviour, coaching, delegating, empowering staff, motivating others, developing staff, as well as identifying and recruiting talent. Coping with pressure and setbacks: coping with pressure, showing emotional self-control, balancing work and personal life, maintaining a positive outlook Organising and executing: setting objectives, planning, managing time, managing resources, and monitoring progress, setting high standards. These skills will also be useful: An understanding of a ticket sales-driven industry In-depth understanding of digital and content-led marketing Record of leading client/agency relationships Launching new concepts to market including insight-led positioning Experience in leading a rapidly expanding team If you don’t fulfil every one of these criteria, then don’t worry.
