BACCH Finance and Membership Administrator £31,531 pa pro rata plus excellent benefits London WC1 and home-based 21 hours per week (3 days) The Finance and Membership Administrator of the British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH) is a crucial role in which you will provide financial and administrative support to the Association and its six affiliate groups. As Finance and Membership Administrator, you will manage the day-to-day finances of BACCH, including subscription fees, processing invoices and reconciling income and expenditure, whilst also taking responsibility for the Association’s routine banking and the preparation of the annual accounts for auditing. Reporting to the BACCH Executive Officer, you will provide support for the Executive Committee and Council meetings, ensuring meetings are organised and prepared beforehand with accurate minute taking throughout. You will process applications to join BACCH and ensure membership records are accurate and up-to-date and manage members’ queries. In addition, you will assist the Executive Officer with the production of the monthly BACCH e-newsletter, sending bulk emails to members and potential members and assist the Regional Coordinators with publicity for regional events, ensuring events are uploaded to the BACCH website. You will also assist with the organisation of the BACCH Annual Scientific Meeting and one of the affiliate group’s annual conferences, liaising with delegates, speakers and exhibitors. Educated to a good standard and with previous administrative experience and a working knowledge of good office practice, you will have experience of database management and have an excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office suite. Highly organised and self-motivated, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and be capable of working with colleagues and stakeholders effectively. A background of working in a Royal College or other professional/membership organisation along with experience of conference organisation, monitoring budgets and maintaining accounts, as well as experience of supporting committees, would be desirable. The BACCH is the organisation for paediatricians and other professions working in community child health. BACCH is a membership organisation that represents doctors and other professionals working in paediatrics and child health in the community. It is a specialty group of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. The RCPCH sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. The RCPCH has more than 23,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn.
