Position Title: Business Development Manager – Major Projects (EV Charging)
Salary: DOE + company car + uncapped monthly commission + expenses covered
Location: United Kingdom (Remote)
Your New Employer
You’ll be joining a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of EV charging solutions that’s growing quickly across large-scale commercial and infrastructure installations. The business supports enterprise customers who need more than an off-the-shelf charger, delivering bespoke, technically robust solutions for fleets, developers and complex multi-site programmes. With a practical, supportive and non-corporate culture, the team combines strong engineering knowledge with a customer-first approach, and they’re investing in major projects as demand accelerates across the UK.
Your New Role
As Business Development Manager – Major Projects, you’ll focus on identifying and securing high-value EV charging infrastructure projects, working nationally with large organisations and key accounts. You’ll own opportunities from early engagement, building relationships with senior stakeholders and technical decision-makers, through scoping and solution design support, to commercial agreement and delivery. Sitting at the centre of the customer journey, you’ll work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to keep complex installations moving, ensuring the proposed solution is right, the project is viable, and the client feels confident throughout.
You’ll manage your own diary and territory, balancing home-based working with regular face-to-face client meetings. You’ll also contribute to a consistent internal rhythm, attending monthly meetings and office visits as required, while keeping your pipeline and account plans disciplined and proactive.
Your Background
You’ll have a proven track record selling EV charging, renewables, or comparable technical infrastructure solutions, and you’ll be comfortable working in a consultative, relationship-led way. You understand how to build trust with technical stakeholders as well as senior commercial decision-makers, and you can hold credible conversations about specifications, installation considerations and project complexity without overreaching beyond the technical teams.
A stable career history is preferred, with longer tenures valued, although project-based or self-employed experience is welcomed where it demonstrates ownership and delivery. You’ll be organised, self-sufficient and confident operating across a national patch, and you’ll hold a full UK driving licence.
In Return
You’ll step into a long-term growth role with real autonomy and the chance to work on high-impact EV infrastructure projects that are shaping the UK’s transition to electric transport. You’ll be backed by knowledgeable colleagues, a collaborative delivery function and a culture that values outcomes over corporate theatre. Alongside a competitive basic salary, you’ll receive a company car, expenses covered, and uncapped commission paid monthly as a percentage of invoiced sales, giving you a clear route to strong earnings as projects land and deliver.
