Job Description
3. Analyse client activities to identify qualifying R&D projects and expenditures.
4. Prepare and submit R&D tax credit claims in compliance with HMRC guidelines.
5. Collaborate with clients to gather relevant technical and financial documentation.
6. Provide expert guidance on R&D tax relief regulations and updates.
7. Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and claim submissions.
8. Support client audits and address queries regarding submitted claims.
9. Contribute to the development of best practices within the tax department.
10. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the professional services industry.
The Successful Applicant
A successful R&D Tax Specialist should have:
11. Strong knowledge of R&D tax relief regulations and HMRC compliance standards.
12. Experience in preparing and submitting R&D tax credit claims.
13. A background in a professional services environment, particularly within tax.
14. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
15. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with clients and teams.
16. A qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field - ATT & CTA preferred.
17. The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
