This position is exclusively for the 2025 Toronto Refugee Hiring Event. To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria: - Arrived in Canada as a refugee (government or private sponsorship), applied for asylum after arriving in Canada (refugee claimant/asylum seeker), or were forcibly displaced. This includes individuals from countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, and others. - Currently reside in the Greater Toronto Area or near the Greater Toronto Area. - You can attend the event in person in Toronto on October 17th. - Eligible to work in Canada (you must have Permanent Residency, Citizenship, or a valid work permit). - 18 years of age or older. The primary role of this individual is to ensure all dock activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner. This position also needs to be familiar with warehouse service role. Duties and Responsibilities Complete all receiving of inbound deliveries. Verify counts, lot numbers, COA’s and inspect for damage. Note any discrepancies on bills of lading and alert proper personnel. Recording delivery into receiving log. Tag materials with correct product and lot information. Load all product to be sent to warehouse. Ensure pallets are scanned, and information is correct. Generate packing slip for each load. Load all packaging and ingredients to be returned to warehouse. Ensure pallets are all tagged and properly wrapped for transport. Generate packing slip for each load. Unload warehouse transfers and verify items and quantities to packing slip. Advise of any discrepancies so system can be corrected. Repalletize damaged products. Safe operation of forklifts. Weekly cleaning and washing of forklift. Any spills to be cleaned immediately and machine left clean and safe for next driver. Check water levels of batteries on daily basis with pre-op check list. General warehouse cleaning, sweeping floors, trailers, storage and dock areas. Assist in cycle counts and monthly inventory counts. Perform other assigned duties. Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations. Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines. Comply with all Company policies and procedures. Qualifications Moderate use of a computer is required. (Training provided) Associate must have current lift truck driver certification (As provided internally or externally). Great attention to detail with accuracy, organized, performing basic math functions. Good communication skills, oral and written. Working in team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions Work indoors and outdoors when required for shipping and loading requirements. Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature. Physical Requirements Sitting involved. May repeat the same movement. Often wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, steel toed safety shoes/boots and beard nets. Ability to bend or twist their body. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. $24 - $24 an hour Health benefits will be provided.
