Infrastructure Engineer – 3rd Line – Projects Focus – Remote working within 90 minutes of Carlisle – 24 month FTC
This role is for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to technology projects and maintain IT systems in the financial sector. The position requires travel to Carlisle two to three times per month, with the remainder remote.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Principal Engineer with asset life cycle management.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for relevant asset categories.
* Advise on asset performance to assist in shaping technical roadmaps.
* Oversee test, installation, maintenance, upgrade, and continuous improvement cycles to optimise services.
* Act as the escalation point for incidents and problems.
* Deputise for the Infrastructure Lead when necessary.
* Mentor and guide 1st and 2nd Line Engineers.
* Ensure infrastructure systems operate efficiently according to agreed service metrics.
* Monitor project deliverables against schedule and budget.
* Participate in projects to provide appropriate solutions.
* Manage time effectively.
* Create, update, and review documentation following internal processes.
* Identify and mitigate risks.
* Contribute to process improvements.
* Collaborate with other technology teams on issues.
* Adhere to change control processes.
* Follow risk and control guidelines and comply with company policies.
* Promote collaborative working relationships across teams and the business.
* Ensure activities align with Technology and Company Strategies.
