We currently manufacture in aseptic suites in London and at our newly licensed facility in Sawston, Cambridge. Job Summary Based in Sawston, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Finance Officer with accurately recording the Company’s financial transactions, processing payments and keeping all information on our financial systems up to date. The Finance Assistant will also assist customers, suppliers and colleagues with any finance related queries, supporting the payroll function and help with month end tasks. Principal Accountabilities: Continually monitoring the finance mailboxes, dealing with emails in a timely manner and communicating information to the wider Finance team as necessary. Purchase ledger – matching invoices to purchase orders, processing invoices in Quickbooks, posting supplier payments and reconciling supplier account statements Sales ledger & credit control – Billing of patients and corporate customers, producing statements and recording payments received against customer invoices. Monitoring debtors and sending payment reminders. Responding to customer invoice/payment queries. Reviewing staff expenses against company policy and HMRC guidelines to ensure compliance, inputting them into the software and allocating payment of expenses. Payroll & Pension admin - Collating payroll information throughout the month and submitting the monthly input to management for review. Keeping payroll records up to date with any changes and details of employee benefits. Setting up net wages and PAYE payments at the bank. Submitting monthly pension contributions. Assisting with month-end processes such as completing bank reconciliations, reviewing nominal activity and producing debtors and creditors reports. You will have the following experience/qualifications: Ideally working towards AAT or another relevant accounting qualification GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/5 or above Previous experience in a similar Finance Assistant role Experience of using Microsoft software packages, especially Excel and Outlook Excellent command of written English and verbal communication skills Previous experience of using a mainstream finance software package, such as Quickbooks We are not accepting agency applications for this role
