Job description
As a Programme Delivery Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrated and assured delivery of a complex and regulated portfolio of projects and programmes. You will be responsible for delivering complex products and services. These will be managed by multiple teams, often involving high technical or political risk.
You should possess a strategic understanding of schedule changes, conflicts, and risks affecting performance, cost, and time constraints, as well as operational delivery. You will oversee program-level schedule analysis to escalate, report, and communicate schedule changes to key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Manage dependencies of varying complexity, potentially planning, and feeding into larger programmes and portfolios.
* Lead communication and collaboration across complex stakeholder groups, ensuring priorities are aligned and effectively managed.
* Monitor, manage and report on programme budget, understanding and supporting the financial planning cycle where required.
* Leading on managing project budget, making smart decisions to stay on track and within delegated limits.
* Drive financial clarity by producing timely, accurate reports, forecasting outcomes, managing risk, and informing strategic financial planning.
* Remove blockers and manage risks, commercials, budgets, and people and be an initial escalation point for the programme.
Person specification
We're looking for a motivated Programme Delivery Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings deep expertise in Agile and other delivery methodologies.
Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills are essential, as you'll build trusted partnerships across Defence Digital, other government departments, and with suppliers to drive high performance.
As a confident and capable leader, you'll tackle challenges proactively while maintaining a strategic view. You'll clearly communicate this vision to your team and stakeholders to keep everyone aligned and motivated. You'll also lead and support staff, providing direction, balancing priorities, and reallocating resources as needed to meet evolving demands.
