Join to apply for the EDM Operator role at NC SAVE$ ENERGY. EDM Operators required in South Leicester. 3 x shifts (no weekends), days whilst training. Permanent, immediate start available. 37 hours per week at £17.79 per hour inc shift allowance, with bonus and overtime available.
We are a growing manufacturer of components for the aerospace and power generation industries with over 20 years of experience, offering professional working conditions and future prospects. This role involves operating EDM / CNC machines in line with workload requirements and ensuring parts are machined to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Operate EDM / CNC machines in line with workload requirements.
* Ensure parts are machined to meet customer requirements and quality standards.
* Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set-ups in line with company requirements.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure correct fixture alignment and part specifications.
* Self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment; participate in inspection activities as required.
* Operate CMM machines to support inspection requirements.
* Maintain production targets, quality, and housekeeping as directed by the Cell Manager.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety.

Qualifications
* Previous experience in CNC milling, grinding, or EDM operations.
* Experience in the aerospace sector is advantageous.
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Ability to self-inspect parts using manual measuring equipment.
* Experience with machinery is advantageous.
Hours and Benefits
* 37 hours per week, 3-shift pattern: morning, afternoon and night rotation.
* Shifts include specific morning/afternoon/night schedules and Friday variations as detailed by the shift pattern.
* Overtime available and paid at agreed rates; 26 days holiday plus 7 statutory days.
