The role
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join its growing in Bexleyheath.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, delivering a high standard of client service while contributing to the continued success of the department.
This role offers hybrid working and would suit a confident fee earner who enjoys autonomy, client contact, and a varied caseload.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to post-completion
• Handling matters including:
o Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
o Shared ownership transactions
o New build purchases
o Remortgages
o Transfers of equity
o Auctions
o Unregistered land
o Transfers of part
o Enfranchisement matters
• Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients by telephone, email, and face-to-face
• Maintaining compliance with SRA, CQS, and internal procedures
• Keeping up to date with relevant property legislation and market developments
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
• Managing billing efficiently and meeting agreed financial targets
Person Specification
• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or equivalent legal professional
• Minimum 1 years' PQE or equivalent residential conveyancing experience
• Strong technical knowledge of residential property transactions
• Proven ability to independently manage a busy caseload
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively to deadlines and performance targets
• Commercially aware and proactive approach
• Team player
• Accountable and self-motivated
• Professional and client-focused
• Forward-thinking with strong problem-solving abilities
