Overview
Piping Configuration Engineer based in Bridgwater, England. Hybrid working arrangement with relocation support if moving closer to site. Part of Assystem, a leading nuclear engineering company involved in major projects and energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with the Configuration Manager to ensure project-wide standards are met
* Support Engineering Readiness and Maturity Reviews across design stages
* Administer the configuration tool for managing metadata and design records
* Track design package maturity and assist with structured handovers
* Ensure design changes and open points are properly monitored and closed
* Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience in piping configuration, design, or modelling
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Skills and Qualifications
* Familiarity with configuration tools in large infrastructure projects
* Awareness of nuclear or other highly regulated industries
* Understanding of engineering change management processes
* Experience with PDMS/Aveva E3D software
