The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a key member of the Digital Senior Leadership Team and will, when required, deputise for the Executive CDIO. They are the professional lead for Digital and Technology Services and the subject matter expert responsible for the development and delivery of the technology underpinnings to the Digital Transformation Strategy of the organisation. Advert The postholder will report directly to the CDIO and have a close working relationship with partner organisations and colleagues in Bradford Craven Airedale and Wharfedale, West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts and West Yorkshire ICS. The postholder will ensure new and emerging technologies are evaluated and integrated into the digital strategy and delivery programmes to support improvement and change arising from NHS policy, clinical practice and other significant developments. The postholder will ensure the appropriate mechanisms are in place to effectively manage cyber security providing assurance to the board that all statutory requirements and proactive security measures are taken. As the prime technology authority and expert, the Chief Technical Officer is responsible for informing executive level decisions on all aspects of technology strategy and operations critical to the continued effective operation of the Trust and its future strategy. Detailed job description and main responsibilities PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (see attached JD or full description) · Responsible for optimising the working practices of the Trust wide technology teams to ensure quality and effective delivery of products and services that are focused on customer experience • Accountable for the trust regulatory compliance with all security, cyber and developing organisational policies that support this. • In collaboration with the Clinical Services Directorates and Corporate Teams responsible for identifying and exploiting new opportunities that new digital/information technology can bring to deliver quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency across the organisation • Embed ITIL or equivalent standards to ensure highest quality professionally assured delivery of work within an appropriate Digital framework to regulate functions, activities and service delivery • Accountable for the performance, welfare and wellbeing of a large scale technical and operational team · Have responsibility for the development of the digital capital programme ensuring this is linked to identified risks and asset lifecycle requirements. • Have responsibility for the senior line management of the Service and Operations, IT Infrastructure, and Integration, and Asset and Licensing teams.
