Your role
We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Sales Team, focusing on the Centrifugal pumps brands we represent. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects throughout the sales process and beyond, combining Sales, Applications, and Project Management, working directly with end users and engineering contractors.
The Role
1. Conduct sales visits, participate in exhibitions, deliver presentations, and proactively seek customer inquiries and sales opportunities.
2. Build and maintain professional relationships with existing and new customers.
3. Establish and sustain good relationships with Principals/Manufacturers.
4. Review inquiries, clarify client requirements and specifications.
5. Prepare and issue product quotations using manufacturer tools and issue sub-supplier inquiries.
6. Handle customer purchase orders, including review and acceptance.
7. Coordinate with manufacturers and sub-suppliers through requisitions and expediting.
8. Review and accept goods and documentation.
9. Provide technical support internally and externally, including attending customer and manufacturer sites in the UK and overseas as needed.
10. Respond promptly to all communications, providing accurate information to support excellent customer service.
11. Collaborate with colleagues across the business to improve efficiency and professionalism.
12. Maintain company administrative systems, including enquiry, order, and customer databases.
13. Provide budget and forecast data to principals and directors as required.
14. Adhere to company HS&E procedures, QMS processes, and employee policies.
To succeed, you will need
* A passion for sales and developing partnerships with customers and principals.
* An engineering or technical background or qualification; sales experience and a positive attitude are also valuable, with training provided.
* Experience or knowledge of selling process equipment like pumps or compressors is advantageous but not essential.
* A full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the UK.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, CRM tools, etc.
