Hays are partnering with a well-established construction and project delivery organisation operating across the UK and Ireland, to recruit a Procurement Manager to join their growing team. This business is known for delivering high-value projects and offers a collaborative and progressive working environment.
Your new role
1. Support procurement delivery across pre-construction and live project phases
2. Assist in developing sourcing strategies aligned with programme andmercial objectives
3. Manage tender processes including issuing enquiries, evaluating returns and supporting negotiations
4. Review supplier pricing and challenge cost assumptions to ensure value for money
5. Work closely with estimating andmercial teams to validate scope and align with cost plans
6. Identify and assess project risks, highlighting potentialmercial or delivery issues early
7. Engage with the supply chain to review buildability, programme and cost considerations
8. Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation exercises
9. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
10. Support the handover from pre-construction into project delivery
What you'll need to succeed
11. Experience within procurement,mercial, estimating or pre-construction environments
12. Strong numerical and analytical capability with attention to detail
13. Exposure to tendering, pricing analysis or cost planning
14. Understanding of risk management within construction or project environments
15. Ability to challenge data andmunicate effectively with stakeholders
16. Awareness of construction procurement routes ( two-stage tendering)
17. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
18. Degree in a relevant field (desirable)
19. Working towards or holding a professional qualification such as CIPS or RICS (desirable)
