Job Description

New Directions Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Kensington. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Reception class for 2.5 days per week, supporting young learners as they embark on their educational journey. If you’re experienced in early years teaching and enjoy working with diverse, enthusiastic children, this could be the perfect role for you!

• The Reception class is diverse, with children from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, making this a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a multicultural setting.

The Role:
• Teach a Reception class for 2.5 days per week, providing engaging and stimulating lessons that promote early literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
• Support children in their social and emotional growth, helping them develop key skills for school readiness and beyond.
• Plan and deliver creative lessons that are tailored to the needs of all pupils, ensuring that each child’s potential is maximised.
• Provide individual support to students where necessary, especially for children with English as an Additional Language (EAL).


The Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) with experience teaching in an early years setting, particularly in Reception.
• Previous experience working with EAL (English as an Additional Language) children is highly desirable.
• A creative, patient, and caring individual who can inspire and motivate young learners.
• Able to work collaboratively with a team and be part of the wider school community.
• DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one).
