We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook (part time or full time - we can be flexible for the right candidate) to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while adhering to food safety standards.

The Bustard Inn is an established family-run business nestled in the heart of rural Lincolnshire. We boast an award-winning restaurant with 2 AA Rosettes, a charming bar frequented by the local residents of South Rauceby and a beautiful garden which attracts many diners in the spring and summer months. We run successful events, from special birthday parties to civil wedding ceremonies, and wedding breakfasts with food catered to an exceptional standard. The kitchen and front of house work as a team to ensure everyone who visits The Bustard Inn enjoys the very best food and service.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of meals served
* Assist in meal preparation and plating for service
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration
* Previous experience serving or working directly with customers is advantageous
