Responsibilities
* Provide personalised support and guidance to individuals with autism, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and preferences
* Facilitate engaging educational, recreational, and social activities that foster independence, social skills, and emotional well-being
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive support plans
* Maintain detailed records and documentation to track the progress and needs of the individuals in your care
* Advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with autism within the local community
* Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, working directly with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals on the spectrum
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to adapt to the diverse needs of each individual
* Creativity and a passion for developing innovative, engaging activities and programmes
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the well-being and empowerment of individuals with autism
* Relevant qualifications in a related field, such as special education, social work, or psychology, are preferred
* A valid driver\'s licence and access to a vehicle are highly desirable
