About the role:
As the Executive Assistant, you will act as a trusted right hand, providing high-level strategic and administrative support across a diverse portfolio of projects, investments, and partnerships. The role demands intellect, intuition, and impeccable discretion, supporting a founder who blends entrepreneurial drive with deep humanity and purpose.
This is not a traditional EA role. You’ll be deeply involved in growth, governance, and decision-making, from coordinating acquisitions and large-scale tenders to managing legal documentation and preparing materials that inform Board-level strategy.

Shift Pattern:
37.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday.
Location:
Remote with an on-site meeting every fortnight either in London or at Athena’s Head Office in Laindon, Essex.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic & Project Support
Coordinate due diligence and documentation for acquisitions, tenders, and major business projects.
Liaise with legal, financial, and property advisors to ensure accurate, timely submissions.
Prepare comprehensive Board Packs, governance reports, and business documentation for the Executive Chair’s review.
Maintain a firm grasp of the wider business context, helping to identify risks and priorities.
Documentation & Communication
Draft and proofread correspondence, presentations, and reports with clarity and polish.
Translate complex legal, policy, and financial information into succinct, actionable summaries.
Keep all governance and business files meticulously organised and secure.
Manage a fast-paced and frequently changing diary, travel schedule, and meeting programme.
Handle highly confidential information with exceptional discretion.
Serve as a professional representative and first point of contact on behalf of the Executive Chair.

About You:
You are an experienced Executive Assistant — someone who thrives on responsibility, precision, and pace. You’ve supported a founder, or executive in a complex, high-growth or highly regulated environment, or a high net worth individual or family, and you’re as comfortable reading a legal report as you are managing a diary.
You’re calm under pressure, quick to anticipate needs, and confident in setting boundaries to protect the Executive Chair’s time and focus.
You’ll bring:
Extensive experience as an EA to a Founder, CEO, or Executive Chair.
Proven ability to manage legal or governance documentation and coordinate multi-stakeholder projects.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive mindset, strong judgment, and genuine discretion.
(Desirable) Background in legal, compliance, or policy administration.
